We had an extremely enjoyable time in this nicely proportioned, very comfortable cottage, in a standout situation within the village For the owners holiday agents More substantial teatowels would be a bonus. Also wasnt clear from the arrival literature where you could park. We assumed next to the house but were slightly worried this was for the attached neighbours.

We had a great stay at the property, its in a fabulous location just a few minutes walk from the beach, the village and Bamburgh castle, it had a very homely feel. Fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and a welcome card was waiting for us on our arrival which was lovely. The property was very clean and had plenty of places to sit and chat, read or watch tv. The bedrooms are a good size, with comfy beds and good quality bedding. There are automatic night lights in the hall which are great at night. The heating is controlled centrally and individually for each room, you just message the owner to have it turned up or down. The kitchen is a great social space, is well equipped and has everything you need to shelf cater. The utility room was very useful when you came back from the beach and there is an outside hosepipe to rinse your feet. The upstairs lounge was lovely and has an open fire, there is also a small reading room off it with views out to the castle and the sea, you can also look across at a part sunset. We had a fanstastic stay at the cottage. Somethings to be aware of... The stairs are quite slippy as they are varnished wood, our dog is used to going upstairs as we also have an upstairs lounge but he struggled going up and down these stairs and if you just had socks on you had to be careful. You are not permitted to leave your dog in the property unattended. The enclosed garden is not directly attached to the property, its just down the grassy path. A very small thing...there is a door stop to near the fridge which is also on the route to the waste bin, all 4 of us stubbed our toes on it during our stay.

Really well positioned with a homely feel everything you need. Appreciate the personal touch care from the owner checking in with us to ensure everything. Especially as the booking company does not have that same personal contact like a number of others in the area.

This is a really lovely cottage in a perfect location. I was able to go out of the door past the garden, and straight onto the dunes with our dog. Or a short stroll in the other direction took me to the village green. And we loved the view of the sea from the living room. Perfect on lazy afternoons.

A lovely cottage in an amazing location

Our opinion is because of the wooden stairs, the property isnt suitable for dogs unless there is some carpet or safety anti slip tape added. We all had to be very careful going up and down then and couldnt let the dog use them unsupervised. The lounge upstairs could do with some additional sofa comfy style seating. The property was spotless and in a great location and everything in the property was a high standard.

Whilst we enjoyed our stay, we were disappointed with a few points which had a negative impact on our holiday. 1. The listing suggested dogs are welcome but upon arrival the information book and a sign stated that dogs are not allowed in the bedroom areas under any circumstances. This should have been stated in the listing online and not only upon arrival. 2. The garden is not attached to the property. This should also be stated in the listing ! 3. The stairs are steep and polished wood so not suitable for dogs or older people. I had to help my poor old dog down each time. He has no issues on carpeted stairs as these give grip. In summary, we did not find the property to be very dog friendly.

Wynding Down is a very cosy spacious cottage in a superb location. The cottage is very well equipped and all the fixtures and fittings are of a very high quality. The information pack provided simple and easy too follow instructions. A lovely characterful holiday home.

Wynding Down is in an ideal location for exploring the Northumberland coast. It is also centrally located in the picturesque village of Bamburgh, within easy walking distance of friendly pubs and shops, as well as very easy access to long walks along the beach. The cottage is well fitted out, and very comfortable. We would certainly stay there again.

We all loved staying at Wynding Down and had a wonderful holiday. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Its location was perfect for us a castle, a beach, a play area, tennis court and wide open space beautiful!

Super upsidedown Barn Conversion. The position of the cottage is excellent with wonderful views from the sitting Rooms cosy and comfortable. Open fire with good supply of logs and coal. Small private garden and good easy access to Castle Green and beach.

Clean and tidy good location.
