Weve just returned from a wonderful week in Kittling Cottage. The property has everything you need for a home from home stay and was spotlessly clean. The location is superb for those who dont mind a coastal walk into Bamburgh, either along the beach at low tide or across the cliff top. Due to the weather we didnt need to use the outside seating area but the only small criticism I would make is that this could be tidied up a little. Having said, that the view over Budle Bay towards Holy Island more than makes up for a little overgrown foliage!

This is a cosy comfortable cottage, but it's decor is in a traditional cottage style, and a little dated so if it's updated and modern you like, this may not be the place for you. The cottage in the main areas was clean, however some of the general cleaning and maintenance let's it down such as the high windows were very dusty and needed cleaning, windows needed cleaning inside and general stuff like putting the spare duvet on top of the hairdryer in a cupboard, And not checking the drawers between guests we found someones clothes. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need for your stay. Although there are walks from the door, there is no enclosed garden space as such, as the patio is small and needs some attention, the table dominates the space. The views of budle bay are stunning as we're the sunsets.

It was a very comfortable cottage and we enjoyed our stay especially the spectacular views and easy access to beach. Have booked again!

This was our fourth visit and we can never tire of the location and view and generally the excellence of the cottage. However, it does look like the place needs a bit of TLC, as there is a air and appearance of tiredness to decoration and some of the furniture.

Fantastic location 5 stars I down graded cottage to 3 stars as house needs some TLC re cleaning. The windows were dirty, cobwebs in corners of windows, grill tray and top freezer draw had not been cleaned. Some crockery was chipped and had been put away dirty also pans needed cleaned before use. Beds were clean and comfy. I bought a shower mat for en suite as elderly member of family found it slippery re health and safety. However, we had a fantastic week. Would return because of location.

Lovely clean cottage with excellent facilities in a peaceful location with superb views over the bay towards Holy Island. Lots of space for a family holiday with all the equipment you could need without it being cluttered. One minor fault was quickly and efficiently dealt with by the owner.

Have stayed for last three years at Kittling Cottage and have altready booked for 2026. I guess this says everything about the property. Fabulous location above Budle Bay, with access to the beach. Well equppied ,very clean cottage and the views and sunsets are stunning. In my opinion one of the best in Northumberlnad.

What a wonderful find! Lovely cottage in a gorgeous location. Easy walk down to a very quiet beach with gorgeous sands. Lovely window seat and view from lounge over to Budle bay and Holy Island. A really well stocked kitchen area with everything you could need. Lots of little extras like plenty of washing up liquid, hand wash, dishwasher tablets, kitchen foil etc. Good communication from owners when we needed it during stay. We will definitely be returning.

This was not the first time at kittling cottage, location is great, plenty of walks, lovely beach although probably not the best if your mobility restricted. On entering first impression was good but then around the sky light windows we noticed cobwebs and dust, I know its in the countryside and we all get cobwebs but this was excessive. Although there was only 2 of us only the one bed was made up, we actually book properties larger so we have a choice. It doesnt give a great impression either, opening doors to find bedding piled on top of beds,

We have stayed several times and the cottage has always been kept to a high standard. The new wall heaters make a big difference in the cooler weather. For walkers and dog owners the cottage is perfectly sited with beach and cliff top walks almost straight from the door.

As a returning customer we were comfortable with knowing what to expect and were not disappointed. All was well and the owner was caring and attentive.

Returning for a third visit, the property remains very good back to excellent when radiator near rear door fixed? All worked as expected and one can only enjoy the location!

Kittling Cottage is an absolute gem. Views from the cottage picture window over Budle Bay are breathtaking. In my opinion the description of this cottage on the website does not do it justice. It is clean, comfortable, well equipped, and in the perfect setting what more could you ask for!

Cottage 1010, only problem is the access road from the main road which is full of some serious potholes, otherwise still 1010.

Lovely cottage , comfortable and plenty of room for our party of 6 to socialise. Well equipped kitchen and fabulous window seat looking over budle bay. The patio garden is small but the view really more than makes up for that, and it was great to have a gas bbq. We were a bit worried that the 3rd bunk bedroom was not shown in the photos but that was absolutely fine. We were blessed with good weather so had no need for the heating or fire . The surrounding countryside and beachs are simply stunning . We were a couple travelling with four older teenagers and 2 dogs and everyone in our party loved it. Especially the sunset beach walks , swimming , star gazing ! I Would highly recommend kittling cottage it a great location and really has everything you need for a family holiday, we definitely hope to return .

Kittling Cottage is in a beautiful location, the overall facilities and general cleanliness were good. The one thing that let the cottage down was the outside area at the back of the cottage. The bushes were overgrown, lots of weeds and some of the furniture was old and broken. Its such a good space but needs a good tidy up. It was a shame as we had gorgeous weather and it wasnt the comfiest area to sit in and enjoy the wonderful views and sunshine!

This has to be one of the best locations we have ever stayed in! The view is simply fantastic, picture perfect! The access to the beach is quick and easy. Beautiful scenery by day, and an amazing open fire by night! You also have very quick access to the costal road and the A1, yet you are in the middle of country side and wild life, with some of the best costal views. All fuel provided and instructions are provided a lovely cosy cottage, with plenty of space for the 6 of us. It also had a lovely light throughout and was fairly private. The photos dont do it justice. Great wifi signal and very convenient parking next to the cottage. I would highly recommend this cottage to everyone! Simple brilliant!

A great place to stay. The view over Budle Bay is magnificent. Easy walk to the beach from which you can walk to Bamburgh. The place has a quiet magic. Only downside is the electric storage heater system which barely coped during come really cold February weather. Open fire was enjoyable but limited in terms of heat. Pack warm clothes and enjoy the area in comfort!

The cottage is perfectly sited for dog walking being only 400m from the beach in Budle Bay. The walk to Bamburgh through the golf course is a great way to work up a thirst to quench in the local pubs, which also do excellent food.

We had a lovely week at Kittling Cottage. The beds were comfortable, the view from the picture window in the lounge was amazing including the sunsets. The cottage was well equipped in a quiet location and close to a lovely beach. Close to the fantastic Farne Islands for those who like birds, and a lovely walk around the coast to Bamburgh. The Grace Darling museum in Bamburgh is lovely too.

A really nice cottage in a super location overlooking the bay out towards Lindisfarne, the sunsets can be spectacular. Highly recommend the walk along the coast to Bamburgh and back, one way on the beach and the other along the top of the dunes is preferable to the road.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Kittling Cottage, and so lovely to be able to take the dog. Fantastic location and views and it was perfect for us and very well equipped. The fire made it feel very cosy and the shower in the ensuite was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.
