About The Chimney

The Chimney is a four-bedroom period holiday home near Bamburgh on the Northumberland coast. It sleeps four guests and is packed with traditional features throughout. The open-plan living space includes a woodburning stove as its focal point, an elegant dining table and double patio doors opening onto a private courtyard. This is a property built for spending proper time together.

Bamburgh sits just over a mile away. The village has sandy beaches, a golf course, pubs, hotels and Bamburgh Castle dominating the skyline. Seahouses is 3.5 miles away for boat trips and coastal activities. The Northumberland Heritage Coast stretches along this entire stretch of shoreline.

Four bedrooms sleep up to four guests. Ground floor: super-king bedroom with walk-in shower room. First floor: super-king en-suite, king-size en-suite and a twin bedroom. A family bathroom with bath and walk-in shower completes the first floor. Two en-suites have heated towel rails.

Bamburgh Castle (1.5 miles), Alnwick Castle and Gardens (16.9 miles, approx. 25 mins), Seahouses harbour (3.5 miles, approx. 8 mins) and Beadnell Bay (5.1 miles, approx. 12 mins) are all within easy reach.

The Chimney was a good place to stay, it was spacious. It was a very comfortable well maintained property with everything we needed for a lovely holiday. We would definitely recommend it.

Very well equipped, comfortable house, the layout worked well for our family of 8 adults with three young babies. Great location, peaceful and close to lots of little villages and the glorious Northumberland beaches We had a lovely time and would definitely return again, would highly recommend staying at The Chimney. We had a few minor nigglessuggestions only two kitchen tea towels provided for the week, this was not adequate and we had to buy more locally. Extra bathroom towels or fresh ones mid week would have been helpful. The dishwasher did not clean well, left bits of food stuck to dishes and cups, we often had to wash again in the sink. Pillows on some of the beds were very flatpoor. Provision of hand soap and shower gel was either lacking or poor, some of the bottles near empty or seem to have been watered down. All very minor points but would have made our stay even better .. thank you The Ritchies
