Mid Cote Reviews

Enjoyed our 4th stay at the cottage. It always very quiet and relaxing and provides everything you need. It also benefits from a short walk to the beach.
This was a lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable close to coastal walks and cycling routes. The welcome pack was very generous, everything you need to settle in. the gardens were beautiful with a lovely summer house at the bottom. Our only niggle was the bathroom was downstairs, we obviously hadn't read all the details properly but we managed.

Mid Cote is in a very quiet area and made it a very peaceful place to stay. It was very clean, and had lots of character. It had a nice summerhouse which we made use to have breakfast in, and a glass of wine in the evening. It overlooked fields which unfortunately had farmers waste tips that spoilt the view but we appreciate this situation is outside the property owners control. I think the only thing that could be improved was to have more bath and hand towels . It was difficult getting them dry every day. That apart we had a lovely week and Mod Core is a very good base. Thank You.
We had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay at Mid Cote. We were met by Ann at the property and she made us feel very welcome. She'd also prepared a very generous welcome pack. The property lived up to our expectations and its quiet location between Seahouses and Bamburgh was ideal for walking and as a base to explore Northumberland.

A beautiful maintained home. We felt we were in the art deco period but with all the 21st mod cons. The home is so well equipped, warm and inviting. Even the summer house was a luxury, to sit and unwind, gazing out to the stars without a care in the world. A peaceful haven in a busy 21st century.
A comfortable, clean cottage which was well equipped. Anne had provided a generous welcome basket and was very helpful and accessible following a power outage.
The best cottage we have stayed in wonderful location the cottage was perfect comfortable and clean thanks to Ann will certainly be back for future stays loved it .

The Cottage is lovely with a beautifully kept garden. It is remote enough for peace and quiet but then only 5 mins drive and you can be in the busy town of Seahouses. The Cottage has charm and is well maintained. The beds are comfortable and shower works very well. It is very clean and tidy. I also like the quality of such things like the crockery. It is also a perfect location for the beach which is in walking distance or a short drive away.

Wonderful property in a great location. Especially liked the gardens and relaxing summer house.
This is without doubt the best cottage weve ever stayed in. After a busy day exploring Northumberland, it was lovely to sit and relax in Mid Cote. We cannot guarantee good weather but we can guarantee youll love Mid Cote!

Mid Cote is such a lovely property to stay in. A beautiful Arts and Crafts House, carefully restored with a beautiful garden. It was spotlessly clean, with a thoughtful welcome pack left for visitors. It is very close to busy Seahouses, but in a quiet and peaceful hamlet of other Arts and Crafts houses. Staying there for three nights was just not long enough.
A very cosy and spotlessly clean cottage with all that was needed for a very comfortable stay. Nicely positioned for visiting Bamburgh, Lindisfarne and Seahouses. A very quiet location with a pleasant garden and summer house. A very nice 'welcome pack' provided by the owner consisting of coffee, biscuits, bread, milk and tea bags. We very much enjoyed our stay despite unsettled weather and would highly recommend.

What can I say about this lovely place. I would dearly love to keep it a secret but it deserves to be shared and enjoyed. Mid Cote is a high end property with its own secret garden, which is very beautiful and calming. The cottage itself is decorated and equipped to the highest of standards and taste.. We were truly fortunate to find this property when the one we originally found fell through. I am so glad that it did and we found Mid Cote. You can walk to the beach in minutes, sea houses centre in 15 minutes and lovely Bamburgh the other way. The summer house was a delight with views of Bamburgh Castle and the lovely unspoilt countryside. It was lovely after a day out to retreat to for some calm and serenity. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner, Anne. A very nice welcome box and just felt at home straight away. This property is a rare find. If you are looking for somewhere really lovely and comfortable to recharge and find yourself this is for you. If you love wildlife then the hares, nesting swifts, bats and owls will provide a lovely show for you. We sat in the summerhouse alongside the hares and bats watching the most amazing northern lights dance across the skies. A real magical experience. One of the nicest, most calming, restoring holiday we have had. Truly unspoilt and unique. Go, see for yourself and sleep in the most comfortable of beds while you enjoy it.

We had a wonderful week at Mid Cote. A really lovely cottage with a beautifully maintained garden. The summerhouse was the icing on the cake for sitting out in breezier days. The cottage was extremely clean and we received a lovely warm welcome from the owner. A lovely quiet location but walking distance fro. The beach and Seahouses. Lovely walk up the beach to Bamburgh. The welcome pack was much appreciated too. Thank you!

Had a fantastic week. Cottage beautiful had all that we needed, lovely sitting out in the summerhouse in the evenings. Thanks to the owner for the treats too.
The property was charming, with lovely gardens, very clean and extremely well equipped. The location was nice and quiet but in walking distance of a wonderful sandy beach and both Seahouses and Bamburgh. We made extensive use of the summerhouse in the garden.
Mid Cote is a delightful cottage, in quiet surroundings but within easy reach of Seahouses and Bamburgh. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. The garden is a real bonus with several seating areas and a super summerhouse with views over the fields to Bambrugh Castle.
We have had a very relaxing week staying here at Mid Cote. The cottage is so easy to be in and wonderfully quiet. We love the gardens and summer house. Great to be so close to beautiful beaches and very safe cycling routes to local towns and villages. Feel sorry to be leaving, would love to stay longer and return.
We have enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and interesting cottage. Weather has been sunny and we have loved sitting out in the lovely gardens. Thank you for the welcome pack, a nice surprise.
We love this little cottage! The garden is very pretty with several nice spots to sit and read or sip a glass of wine. The summer house was our favourite and the owners have done a marvellous job on the interiorfurnishings of the property to restore Mid Cote. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Lovely well equipped cottage, with beautiful garden.
This property provided the ideal get a way for a quiet and relaxing break. It was very well equipped, TV signal was excellent as was the WiFi service. If the weather had been a little warmer, the summerhouse with its view of Bamburgh castle and comfortable seating, would have become a favourite place to relax.
This is a really nicely appointed cottage, spotless on arrival, A complementary welcome pack of goodies put a smile on our faces as soon as we arrived. Slept well on a comfortable bed and thought the provision of board games for a rainy day was a nice touch. A good base for exploring the area.
The cottage was lovely in a very peaceful spot but in walking distance of shops and eating places. The owner left a very nice welcome pack for us which included tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, butter and bread. Totally unexpected but a really thoughtful gesture. In addition there was a bottle of wine . Such a lovely gift , made us feel very welcome. The property is delightful and the gardens beautiful. The owners love of the cottage really came through and the summerhouse was a heavenly retreat .
Very clean and comfortable. Cottage was well equipped and in a quiet position, yet close to beach.
We have stayed in many quality cottages up and down the country and Mid Côte has been the best. It was furnished to a quality standard and it felt like home from home with lots of arts and crafts displayed. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The gardens and outdoor seating areas with summer house were lovely. We would like to compliment the owner for the high standard.
