The Bolthole Reviews

Clare
We stayed for a long weekend just last week and last year for a long weekend. The house is really lovely but... The small window in the first bedroom is very drafty and when windy very noisey. It's not closing properly. It was the same last time we were there. The heating system isn't great either. Very very noisy. Lovely hot water but the heating side of things isn't good. We we're disappointed that there wasn't anything festive , no christmas tree in the house
James
Great cottage, great location, just off the main road so close to all the amenities and quiet enough to believe you are in the countryside. The cottage is very comfortable and fully equipped, parking for 2 cars would be challenging!
Julie
The property is lovely, has everything you need and the location is just perfect. You can walk anywhere in Bamburgh as it is situated right in the centre behind the Lord Crewe.
Julie
Would definitely return. It's nice to park up in the grounds and not worry about trying to park in the street.
Christine

Keith
Lovely cottage in a great location. Would come again.
Julie
Bolthole is a 2 bed (both en-suite) in the Crewe courtyard right smack bang in the middle of Bamburgh village. Itâ??s gated and secure. There are three areas for sitting out, although was abit cold whilst we visited. It was just perfect for us. Its quiet. Itâ??s immaculately clean. owners were around whilst we were there and it was great to hear how the cottages came into being, having once been part of the rear outbuilding at The Lord Crew Arms. We walked a lot most days. We ate at the ocean club and Lewis's fish and chips both in Seahouses. Excellent. The shops were all closed up as it was first week in January accept for Butchers and this is a must to visit and get yourself some Bamburgh Bangers - delicious.
