The Farne Islands (boat trips from Seahouses, 5.5 miles, 12 minutes) host puffins and seals. Alnwick Castle and Gardens (16 miles, 25 minutes) offer family entertainment and film location tours. Holy Island (15.5 miles, 30 minutes) features Lindisfarne Castle and tidal causeway crossings.
