Armstrong Cottages No22 Reviews

This cottage was clean, well equipped , warm and cosy. Instructions to gain entry , manage equipment were clear. Its location perfect, off street parking too. Welcome pack for humans and dogs was unexpected and appreciated. Garden was secure which was excellent for the dogs. Reclying bin was full on arrival, so not so good. Some issues with en suite shower. Other than that, we had a really lovely few days in this spacious cottage , thank you
Heather
3rd visit to this cottage. Great to see new glass in conservatory this time. Lots of extra appliances in kitchen and everything you need elsewhere. Comfy furniture, warm and cosy cottage and couldn't fault it. Great for dog owners like us as plenty of room, good sized garden and close to beach etc
Whist overall this accommodate was great ! A few issues arose to lower my scores. Location fabulous and very well equipped for our stay.family bathroom toilet kept blocking. But maintenance team visits were done, but still seemed to be an issue. So stopped using that one. I mistakenly used the iron without checking underneath the black burned plate stuck to my top I was going to wear to go for a family meal. The iron was replaced when the toilet was checked. Also a filthy toasty maker was left in the cupboard. I cleaned it to use for the children and it blew the electricity. Lighting was a little poor as pointed out by another visitor previously. But on a positive note our week was fantastic and the issues I have raised were down to people not respecting the goodwill of the owners in providing such a well equipped property and not cleaning up after themselves! Cleaners cant check everything. My thanks to the owners in providing a good service and my only other comment is that this week the booking is half the price of last. As the holiday rental for school holidays is extortion everywhere and needs to be capped as many families cant afford to pay these premiums in the holiday period.

Property was in an excellent location and was well equipped overall . One observation was that the lighting in the dining room and the lounge could be much improved and if improved would provide a more welcoming and comfortable experience for holiday guests.
Overall a very pleasant property. The oven hob takes a bit of getting used to and the tv signal is not very good but you can overcome this by using the streaming services as the WiFi is excellent.
Lovely cottage . .have booked again! Welcome pack a nice touch
Our first stay at this property and it was wonderful. A very spacious, comfortable and clean cottage with everything you could need. A nice welcome pack on arrival, and the dog, which was a lovely touch. Loads of board games provided which we made use of. We particularly enjoyed using the conservatory for breakfast and relaxing in after a day out and about. The beds were equally comfortable and great having 3 bathrooms with a 16 and 19 year old! The location is fantastic, being able to walk into Bamburgh was so convenient and dog walks every morning and evening on the beach just minutes away. Also a perfect base for exploring all that the area has to offer. We were blessed with good weather all week and had a wonderful holiday. Thank you!
The cottage was perfect for our group. Unfortunately the holiday was marred by the cooker and hob not working and there was no phone number which worked to get through to a person. We were then out of pocket and still waiting for resolution.
Very enjoyable stay for me and my friends on my birthday weekend. Very well equipped, very clean, brilliantly located, very comfortable and very cosy. We all loved our stay at 22 Armstrong Cottages we'll be back again next year! Highly recommended. Thank you..
Elizabeth
Great spacious family house, cant beat the location short walk across the dunes to the beach and short walk into Bamburgh best walk is along the beach into Bamburgh!
Lovely roomy cottage, had everything and more that we needed, great location, very close to Bamburgh village, the castle and the beautiful beach and within easy reach of other parts of the area by car.
Lovely home, everything you could need.
Heather
This is our 2nd stay in this cottage and its just as lovely as before. Furniture comfy, all mod cons in kitchen, in fact, all you need and more. Human and doggy treats really welcome. Love everything about the cottage.
Lindsay
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to No 22. Better than hoped, the property is well equipped, spacious, clean and has everything needed for a lovely holiday by the sea. The close proximity to the sand dunes leading to the wonderful Bamburgh beach is ideal for family holidays. It is also an easy walk to the Castle and village centre with its pubs, restaurants and amenities. We would definitely return to this lovely place.
Christian
The holiday was great, these are things that you should know about. 1. Cooker extractor fan filter needed cleaning, dripped a pool of rancid oil onto hob. 2. numerous dog biscuits found if objects on kitchen floor moved. 3. upstairs family bathroom shower cubical had human hairs all across entrance. 4. radiator outside downstairs bathroom missing thermostat control. 5. packet of matchmakers in lounge on top of book cabinet. 6. upstairs family bathroom sink plug seal defective, basin would not hold water. 7. kitchen light near rear door flickers when first switched on. 8. conservatory roof flashing outside twin bedroom loose and flapping noisily in the wind.
Richard
Lovely spacious home, perfect location for the beach and for Bamburgh
Some areas were not as clean as they might have been. A deep clean is needed as well as some updates Location is great with easy access over the dunes to the beach and the enclosed garden was great for the dogs Will try to send pics
Could not fault cottage at all. Has everything you need and in a great position for beaches and pubsrestaurants
Stacey
We have just got home after a 3 night stay and this cottage was perfect. I felt the pictures didn't do it justice was much nicer than we expected. We would defiantly go back. Thank you
Rebecca
Beautiful cottage, lots of space and facilities. We couldn't get the dishwasher to worka tap kept flashing up on it, might've been just us! Everything else was brilliant, many thanks
Elizabeth
Lovely great cottage just need to revise the listing slightly as it no longer ... Lovely great cottage just need to revise the listing slightly as it no longer has open fire which was a shame as that was one of the reasons we chose it but apart from that brilliant week
Lovely cottage, real home from home. The kitchen had everything we needed and the lounge was cosy, great for relaxing as a family. The welcome pack and dog treats were a lovely gesture.
Cottage comfortable and spacious, good location The only thingl would improve is the lighting in the living room which is not conducive for reading. The lack of a logburning stove the artificial one is no substitute

This is the second time that we have stayed at Armstrong Cottage No. 22. It is a spacious and very comfortable property with everything that you could possibly need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. It is close to Bamburgh Castle, the beach and the village with something for all members of the family to enjoy. In addition it is ideally located to visit and enjoy everything that Northumberland has to offer. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend this holiday property to anyone everyone. Lovely place to stay.

We have just had a family week in the cottage. I cannot praise it highly enough! So comfortable, clean, spacious and cannot explain how well equipped it is for your family stay. This cottage has everything you will ever need. Our family were staying in another Armstrong cottage but spent most of their time with us because ours was so fantastic. Fantastically situated, close to the beach and just a short stroll to the castle and village. We will definitely return! Well done Armstrong cottage no 22 we have had the best family time due to your thoughtfulness on providing an excellent, well equipped, comfortable home.

Just a quick note to say that we had a great stay again and we love the property. Would happily recommend! Wanted to flag that we stopped using the upstairs toilet as despite following instructions to double flush, it did not flush well. Also, we broke a glass as we were tidying up on the last morning so did not have time to replace please advise if this requires any action. Happy for you to edit feedback to the first paragraph the rest is for your info. Best wishes Tim

Heather
A lovely spacious, comfortable house, very well equipped with a beautiful garden where we ate most of our meals only thing you could add is a table out there. Loved the welcome pack, even treats for the dog, so thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this house to family and friends.
Most enjoyable. Nice property. Just wondered, why is there a camera on top of the TV facing the bed. Seems odd !!
