Does this cottage have a hot tub?
No, The Old Granary does not have a hot tub. The property does have a woodburner with initial fuel included, which makes for a cosy evening in the first floor living room.
Is it pet friendly?
No, pets are not permitted at The Old Granary. If you are travelling with a dog this property is not suitable and you would need to look at an alternative.
How do you get to Holy Island?
You cross a tidal causeway to reach Holy Island (Lindisfarne) and safe crossing times must be checked before travel. Missing the tide window can leave you stranded on either side of the crossing.
Where is the nearest shop?
There is a post office and shop on the island itself, just a quarter of a mile from the cottage. It stocks basic provisions as well as home-made food.
How many people does the cottage sleep?
The Old Granary sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms (4ft 6in beds) and two twin rooms (2 x 3ft single beds).
Is there parking at the property?
Parking is on-road rather than private off-road parking. Holy Island is a small island so this is standard for properties located here.
What is included in the price?
Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included in the rental price. Initial fuel for the woodburner is also provided at no extra cost.
Is the cottage suitable for young children?
A cot and highchair are both available on request, making the property workable for families with young children. The cottage is accessed via a gravel slope footpath so a pushchair may be tricky on that section.
