Haven Cottage is a Grade II listed fishermen's cottage on Holy Island (Lindisfarne) off the Northumberland coast. It sits within walking distance of the harbour and long sandy beaches. The island is cut off from the mainland twice a day by the tides making it genuinely unlike anywhere else in England. The road to the island was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1954.
Lindisfarne Castle and Lindisfarne Priory dominate the island. The priory dates back to the 7th century. Walking and birdwatching are the main draws here. Shops are 200 yards away and a pub serving food is just 500 yards from the door.
The cottage sleeps 3 across one double bedroom (4ft 6in bed) with a stowaway Z-bed for an extra guest.
