Bramble Lodge Reviews

Chris
This is the 4th time we have stayed at Bramble Lodge and it didn't disappoint. Spotlessly clean, a lovely welcome box. The area is peaceful and stunning with Bamburgh a stones throw away. We have already booked for next year.
Glen
Overall great location and very comfortable cottage with all needs catered for
Kathryn
Lovely property. Lovely location. There was everything we needed for our stay. We did an online shop as there is only a Co-op in Seahouses.
Caroline
Perfect location overlooking Bamburgh castle ahd close to the village of Bamburgh. Well equipped and comfortable. Loved that it was always warm due to its eco friendly build.
Sheona
A beautiful lodge, very comfortable and the way the sitting area and kitchen and patio were laid out made it very sociable for us. Loved the bi-folding doors onto the patio area. Views from the patio were wonderful.
Jane
Really lovely accommodation with a beautiful view in a very peaceful location only five minutes drive from Bamburgh and 10 minutes from Seahouses. There aren't many places to stock up locally other than the co-op in Seahouses so we booked a shopping delivery as did our neighbours. We have stayed here twice despite the nine hour trip to get here because it is just lovely and close to lots of lovely things to go and see as well as the beautiful beach at Bamburgh.
Peter
This is a nice property yet I would not rate it as luxury, lacking in many items you would find in a luxury property and over priced. Fantastic location in a quiet setting with views of Bamburgh castle and surrounding country side .
Jill
All bedding and towels, tea towels etc. were very clean and good quality. Good selection of games, dads provided but no instruction of how to operate complicated satellite TV system. Very sunny and bright property with a great view of the castle and well situated.
Barry
A very comfortable and attractive lodge with beautiful views
Maureen
Weâ??ve just come back after spending a lovely week in Bramble lodge. Such a lovely spot and stunning lodge, expensive, however really worth it. Bed and pillows really comfy. Just 1 1/2 mile from Bamburgh with great beaches. Loved watching the cricket Sunday afternoon. If you are not from the area or not visited before, donâ??t let your satnav rule the route of the surrounding area, it will take you all around the winding B roads which are a nightmare and take you twice as long. Will we be back, hmmm depends if we get a discount for being excellent guests
Susan
In a lovely location on peaceful site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return again.
Lesley
Myself and my two dogs just really lapped up the peace and quiet of Brads â?¦ open plan living suits us very well. Ideal location for all areas.
Lynne
Lovely comfortable lodge. Stunning views and very peaceful. Secure decking area for dog appreciated. Very relaxing holiday.
Suzanne
We had a lovely stay at Bramble Lodge. It's in a perfect location with lots to do in near by places.
Zoe
A fabulous find, you do need transport as nothing on your dorstep, but only a mile down the road into Bamburgh, the lodge is a great position overlooking the castle and the grounds of the lodge are well kept. Very well situated to visit all the sites, Craster was a favourite.
Allison
Perfect location and lodge has all you need for your stay. Very comfortable but the decor needs some TLC. Waste bin full when we arrived and no blue in present. Welcome pack causes confusion. You need to take/fetch bin from road in front of the lodge, not do nothing as pack says. No big deal but full bins will be happening regular.
Janet
Great dog and family friendly cottage, well equipped, very comfortable, we would highly recommend. It is also in a lovely location.
Amanda
An outstanding, well appointed property in a fantastic location. Exceptionally clean and warm, we were very impressed. Excellent for dogs with super walks near by direct from the property, which sits on a quiet country lane with magnificent views of Bamburgh Castle. Having stayed at many properties and been deeply disappointed we were delighted to stay at Bramble Lodge and will definitely return. Recommend highly.
Kimberly
Overall we really enjoyed our holiday, however we thought the lodge was on its own and found there was about 20 other lodges, luckily because it was quiet it didnâ??t matter but wouldnâ??t of been impressed if all lodges were full and site was busy ( photos a little misleading) The shower cubicle and the skylight had to be cleaned of mould and siliconed, shouldâ??ve been done before we arrived Really nice lodges, location close to areas we like to visit too We would visit lodges again but only at quiet periods and we have recommended to friends
Georgia
Great location and lovely walks nearby. House set up well with everything you needed for a stay. Comfy beds. Was very peaceful and quiet and had a lovely week.
Nicola
We arrived to a very well equipped property and although we had been told the house would not be decorated for Christmas and took our own tree, there was a lovely tree with lights already in situ. We were also cooking Christmas dinner so it was important to have all the necessary things to make it feel like we were in our own kitchen and the house did not disappoint. The lodge has a fabulous view and we were lucky to see some lovely sunrises/sunsets. Has a little issue with the boiler on arrival which was promptly dealt with. Great Christmas spent in Bamburgh and Seahouses which offer some great eating spots too.
Michael
We loved our week in the cottage. The location was perfect for us giving us access to all the areas we wanted to visit: Budle Bay for birdwatching, Berwick on Tweed, for history and walking, Seahouses for fish and chips and a pub meal, Bamburgh and Beadnell for beautiful beaches where our beagle could run and paddle, and Holy Island for history and beauty. The cottage itself was really well equipped cozy and clean with everything we needed to cook and have evenings in- great Wi-Fi, superb television reception really nice woodburning stove. Our Cottage was spacious and really comfortably furnished with two bathrooms hiving have access to a bath and a shower. We think itâ??s the best holiday cottage weâ??ve ever stayed in.
Susanne
The location of the property is lovely with uninterrupted views of the castle, I feel there should be more attention to detail as there were some issues on arrival, all electric was off so no freezer, fridge or hot water. Also found a full bin. These issues could be easily addressed so hopefully going forward future holidaymakers wonâ??t have any problems. I would recommend the property but hope the owners will take reviews on board.
Jason
Loved it the place is great stuff stunning and peaceful with great view s we will return
Carol
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay in number 5; it was so cosy and the situ was perfect.
Paul
Whilst the location of the lodge was fab, there are a few points that need to be addressed. On arrival, the TV remote did not work, we had to source alternate batteries. This surely should be checked. The visitor book was lacking in information and did not make it clear that we, as the guest, had to turn the boiler on to heat our own water. Unfortunately, there was enough hot water in the system for us to not notice this on the first day. However, when there was no hot water on the second day, we had to investigate this and found a note pinned to the boiler stating we needed to turn this on, on the day of arrival in order to have water the next day.
Elaine
Everything we could have wished for. We appreciated the personal touches.
Jane
Bramble lodge is such a lovely quiet location with the best view from completely enclosed deck. Quite the best imo. Well fitted out with everything you could need. Very stylish roomy comfortable & relaxing. Please note the grass areas are not completely secured from the quiet road. Shop and restaurants/takeaways/garage in lovely Bamburgh & Seahouses 10 min drive. Car essential. Close to lots of lovely places to visit and spectacular scenery. 2 small issues dealt with same day after a phone call (smoke alarm & 2nd bed made up as a double rather than a twin) We will definitely be back to stay here, it was worth a very long drive from the south
Philip
Great location, well equipped, light and airy.
Chris
Great location - lovely and warm . Nice and private. Fabulous to see that there were obviously cooks in the house / therefore slow cooker/ implements / oven trays etc - all do welcome !!
Carl
A very spacious, comfortable and airy lodge, all mod cons. Clean and practical with great views of the castle in the distance. We had a fabulous time. A great base for exploring the delights of Northumberland. We will definitely return.
Christina
Fantastic place to stay, great views, warm home and nice
Alison
This property is very comfortable, warm and clean. The welcome packs for the kitchen and the bathrooms are great. It is very well located, only a few minutes drive from Bamburgh and Budle Bay which are our favourite beaches, and pretty close to the A1 for access. There is plenty of space on site to give the dogs a quick walk. Iâ??d be happy to return, although the rental cost is on the high side.
