Lovely cottage near to Bamburgh, short drive to Banburgh Castle, Lindisfarne etc. there is a costal walk nearby which has great views.
The accommodation is in a lovely place, the interior could do with a bit of a refresh. The outside area is not secure for dogs.
We had a great week at The Arches, the welcome pack was a bonus after a long hot journey. The location for us was perfect, right on the English coast path and a short drive to Bamburgh and Lindisfarne. The house is comfortable and has everything you need for a home from home holiday, we had pizzas from the local artisan pizza co and had a sauna and cold dip at Wyldwellness near Bamburgh would highly recommend both. Our only issue was that a week wasn't long enough!
A nice location for walks at Budle Bay. The information folder at the property really needs updating confusing instructions regarding where the key safe is, and the TV remotes. Still mentions Covid, but no mention of when the external bins are emptied. Inadequate bathroom heated towel rail, but great shower. A very comfortable main bedroom and lovely welcome hamper very much appreciated. We took our own coffee machine and pods.
We would recommend The Arches and would happily return. Thank you for a lovely stay and the generous Welcome Pack.
We had a lovely time staying at the Arches, the cottage was very cosy and comfortable and the welcome hamper was exceptional. It was extremely well equipped the owners have obviously put a lot of care and attention to details into presenting the cottage.We would have liked to see some personal recommendations for places to eat around the local area but we did manage to find some very nice seafood places.We would definitely recommend the Arches to anyone visiting the Bamburgh area.

I would like to thank Andrea personally for providing us with a great property at such short notice 1 hour due to an error by Sykes. The property was great and once wed found the dog walking paths we enjoyed the break. The welcome pack was truly appreciated. Thank you Andrea but not Sykes holidays which we wont book with again.
The location is fantastic, parking a large car was a bit tricky as inside a walled area. Hot water was slightly problematic went cold on 4th person so water needs leaving on but owners had left instructions. Couldn't find the pub 1 mile away but found 3, 3 miles away.owners book needs updating referring to covid. Very generous basket left. Would recommend this property and cragside a must to visit.

We love the Arches and keep returning. It is our idea of a perfect holiday cottage.
Very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Lovely big rooms, bathroom was particularly spacious. Heating was really good, because it was quite warm unfortunately we never needed to use the real fire. Ideally located for everything we wanted to see. Thanks for the welcome pack too. This was undoubtedly one of the best cottages we have stayed in. We also had a slight issue with the parking, despite parking in front of the sign saying the arches. In the end we put both cars in the bay at the front of the house which was fine. Maybe encourage people to do that in the first instance. in the end 2 other cars from other cottages parked along that lane so we couldnt anyway! Thanks for a lovely stay
A lovely, cozy cottage in a stunning part of the country. We had a fantastic week and the Arches was part of what made it so good. It was comfortable and a lovely home away from home. We would definitely like to return one day.
We were confronted by the farmer on this site to be told that we could not park along side the property in the allocated space as this was private land. We managed to park in the small area in front of the property .What sad people . We would suggest you check out these lets, as we found it very distasteful.At least the weather was good.We would like some reply to this feedback.
Beautiful cottage comfy bed the first time my husband hasnt had a bad back on holiday. Fantastic bathroom and shower. Everything you need is provided the gift bag of goodies was highly appreciated. Only wish would be if the garden was gated so our doggy could go in the garden without her lead . Best cottage we have ever stayed in. Hoping to return again . Also found a lovely pub in Belford The Salmon lovely staff and delicious food.

We enjoyed our stay at The Arches. It was very clean and the welcome pack was appreciated. On a very small note, there was no visitors book which always makes interesting reading, and it felt that things hadnt been updated since Covid restrictions. Other than that we had a good stay. Thank you.

The welcome pack we received from the owners was a really nice touch. We found our stay at the Arches as very comfortable,the beds were really comfy and the bathroom really exceptional.This is a large laid out cottage and met all our needs.Its location made it very easy to travel and explore the local towns and beaches.

Yes. Liked the cottage & location for the isolation. Pity not an enclosed garden as dog didnt get any freedom. Thought the bathroom was good but a pity it was very short on drying space for towels. Needed a bigger towel rail. Think bathroom potentially an issue for older visitors as no rail to hold on to. Thought the settee & Room carpet a bit tired. Whilst I slept ok daughter thought middle bed not great. Cut my hand drying kitchen spoon. Dodgy handle with metal sticking out! Told Sykes about leak from valley gutter but no acknowledgement. Probably needs looking at might just be leaf debris blocking it but had a steady leak coming into bathroom.
We really loved our stay at this stylish and comfortable home. Everything that we needed was provided and we were very comfortable. Many thanks for a brilliant week.

The property was very clean, warm, quiet, spacious and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cutlery etc, which is often not the case. The inclusion of things like tinfoil, washup liquid, dishwasher tablets, cling film etc were very helpful and was much appreciated, made a big difference for selfcaterers and avoids having to get those basics in. Very well situated for exploring the area and also for walks from the door.
