Fabulous location and views. Nice property with fabulous private gardens. The two small welcome packs were useful however I was surprised that there was no hand soap. I have stayed in numerous properties and there is always hand soap if not other toiletries.
Location 5. Layout of accommodation 5. Let down by the following, which are all small things that wouldn't cost the earth to fix a Upon arrival wanting the loo I was astounded that there was no hand wash in either one. Even if shower gel and shampoo is not provided hand wash should be especially after Covid and surely a small cost to ensure safety! b No heating on anywhere except for towel rail in castle view bedroom which never went off, so not a warm welcome yet told that underfloor heating was on timers for bathroom, and one of the radiators in the lounge area was programmable. Surely something that can be sorted for a guest arriving in November! c Would expect at least a carton of longlife milk and some tea and coffee available when no shops open selling these items within 3 miles when arrival is after 4pm. Not expecting anything fancy, just the basics of a welcome. c I would expect there to have been washing up liquid and scourer, brush or cloth, to wash crockery, surfaces etc. not just some tablets for the dishwasher. Yet you want us to keep the place clean! Both tables needed a wipe down as not cleaned, and floor had many crumbs from chisps from previous occupant around seating! d I always cook, but was aghast at the very poor quality of kitchen utensils and cookware for the hob. 2 chipped, scratched and battered enamel saucepans with 1 lid not fitting, and handles loose so unsafe I had a screwdriver in the car so fixed that!. 1 small nonstick frying pan in need of a damn good clean. 1 nonstick skillet with lid that had the surface of the Teflon so badly damaged showing the bare metal all over the bottom, that it is a health hazard and should be thrown away. 1 small steel stock pot with lid. There was no Pyrex eg. jug or small dishes with lids, or other items to use in the microwave. Oven had its racks and 2 roasting trays. 2 small cheese boards to act as chopping board that were so very badly scratched, not hygienic! Sharp knives that were not sharp blunt knives slip as more pressure is used to try and cut so are a hazard! and the sharpening steel was rusty! Fortunately I always take my own knives! Most utensils where metal which is not good with nonstick surfaces! Wooden ones are not hygienic when it's shared use! No can opener either! Frankly despite the fact that the property is on the market it needs some money spent on it whilst taking bookings. Replace all the saucepans and frying pans. Get some silicon utensils. Buy a Pyrex jug and a couple of small lidded casserole dishes that fit the microwave. Buy a can opener. Buy washing up liquid and cheap scourers for the kitchen. Get some aluminium foil to help keep oven clean. Include spare bin liners. Have a second bin to put the recycling in. Buy hand wash for each loo and kitchen! I'd also put new inserts into the cushions! That's less than 100 and would improve the place to 5 if the heating was actually on its timers! Despite that I would return, just take a bit more with me from my own kitchen!

The cottage is in a prime location, presumably, thats why it is more expensive than the cottage with less good a view of the castle. The cottage is well appointed and fully equipped as described, but the place seems tired and needing some smartening up. Black mould visible.. Staining in kitchen corners. Overall, a lovely cottage but unless it was given some TLC and smartening up, we would not go back.

The property is in a lovely location and a charming view of Bamburgh Castle. It is a very nice apartment, but has a few issues that have been mentioned previously. The apartment is for sale, but it does need some maintenance inside and out the broadband does work, but it is dreadful and a better reception on the beach a welcome pack of teacoffee etc was in the kitchen, but part of the contents had been removed. The apartment was just missinglosing some sparkle to bring it up to the standard that it deserves.

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location. Cleanliness was great and a handy welcome pack of immediate essentials. The views of the castle are amazing! A few minutes walk to the beach and to the pubsrestaurants in Bamburgh. As others have mentioned, phone reception is pretty much nonexistent and the internet speeds are not really usable. Not a big issue for us but useful to know in advance. We also had a problem with the washing machine breaking but Sykes and the local agents dealt with the issue efficiently. Good service.
We enjoyed our break at Northrawe with one or two niggles. As commented on by previous guests, WiFi is very intermittent and whilst we appreciated the welcome packs, there was no soap in either bathroom and only one antislip mat for both bathrooms. A full length mirror would be a welcome addition also. Despite these slight negatives, we would stay there again as it was clean and very well situated, with the stunning view towards the castle and proximity to the beach and village.
A comfortable apartment with fabulous view of castle. However Internet connection patchy. Door didnt lock. Fixed when we complained. Welcome pack appreciated but why no soap in either bathrooms? Television in bedroom didnt work.
It was a little short of glasses for water. No prosecco or gin glasses.

Wonderful apartment in an excellent location. Very well equipped and comfortable. Lovely terrace to take advantage of the views. Only negatives are the WiFi is not good, we had to rely on our mobile data, and I was quite disappointed that there was no welcome pack so no initial supply of essentials like tea or coffee and no hand soap in the bathrooms. Not enough to deter us from booking again though!

Wow, what a view! We loved Northumberland before, but staying here was just amazing, looking at the castle day and night was quite magical. Also being able to walk out onto the beach everyday was wonderful, it helped we had good weather too.
We loved the location and great apartment with plenty of space. Facilities generally good. Disappointingly, the underfloor heating in the shower room, which had been reported previously as not working has till not been repaired. The floor was extremely cold as was the whole room. The wifi, as also previously reported was unuseable. We were unable to use internet during the entire stay which was extremely frustrating. If advertising these facilities it is so important to make you are providing them. Sadly because of the mentioned negatives we would not return to this property.
Great location, amazing views and lovely apartment with everything we needed for our stay.
We thought Northrawe was excellent good fit out excellent bathroom bed and ... We thought Northrawe was excellent good fit out excellent bathroom bed and bedroom was most comfortable The heating was so good made the place really cosy when we came in from the cold Plenty of hot water couldn't have wished for better brilliant location super property One minor problem the door accessing the rubbish bin was broken needing repair
The location is amazing and the view from the lounge outstanding. While the cottage was clean, it is decidedly tired in places and some things just don't work making the stay rather unpleasant. The underfloor heating in the shower room was not working and despite the radiator being on full, the room was baltic and unusable. The wifi was also useless you could log onto the router but could not load a webpage, never mind Netflix on the TV. The flat is for sale and it looks like the owner has lost all interest in it as there are place where paint is peeling off the wall and black mould in the bathrooms. Such a shame as it could be a truly lovely place to stay.
The property was better than the description and the photos, the location was fantastic. Very close to the castle and pubs restaurants. The walk along the beach in front of the castle was great. I would go back to this property.
Second visit for us and still a lovely base to stay in Bamburgh. Easy walking distance of sea and local pubs and restaurants.

We rang and asked for one of the beds to made up into two twin beds this was said that it would be passed onto housekeeping. After ringing and said this would be done it was very disappointing to find that this had not be done. I did think after it would be done as it said to ring and ask if you wanted this. This was poor service.
A fabulous, warm and comfortable homefrom home apartment in a fantastic location close to the village amenities and the beach, with amazing views to the castle. The apartment was well equipped, especially the kitchen which was good for foodies. The 2 bathrooms were a real bonus for a family with teenagers and the layout was effective. I liked having the utility cupboard and washing machine and the back gate to the cricket pitch was very well used. The TV is easy to use if you are used to a smart TV and the microwave needs a bit of careful assessment Highmedium, time dial, start. As a very small comment, the bed in the double could have been slightly more comfortable but the linen was lovely as were the towels. The area is beautiful with lots of things to do. We got great fish n chips at Lewis's in Seahouses and amazing pizzas from Northumberland Artisan Pizza Co at Warren Mill. We would recommend Billy Shields boat trip to the Farne Islands and a visit to Lindisfarne. A really special place. We will be back!

The view of the castle was such a treat. We were blessed with good weather to view it at its best. The apartment has high quality kitchen, bathrooms, and furnishings. The location is ideal for sightseeing.
Asked for 2 single duvets in bedroom 2. Not provided.no WiFi or phone line so went to nearby office next morning. Bedding & lack of welcome pack resolved. Not very clean.bag of medicines etc found in drawer in bedroom 1. Our 4th visit to this property and still no hot water in basin in shower room. Windows dirty, lawn uncut, plastic flapping on outside since storm of 2021. Window catch broken in shower room. Tv complicated to operate. Microwave so complicated that the instructions take up a whole page in info book! This is not what people want. This place is not good value for money & we wont be back!
We had a great time in Bamburgh. The accommodation has a great setting by the castle. The flat was very clean and reasonably well equipped. Will return for another holiday. Recommended.
The hob does not work. The back bedroom TV just says 'Scan Channels' not usable The living room TV is too complicated. We just want to turn on the TV and see choice of programmes. Back bedroom bath plug does not seal and therefore bath does not hold water
Just back from a fabulous 5night stay at Northrawe. Clean and comfortable accommodation with incredible views of stunning Bamburgh castle from the apartment living room. Close to the beautiful beach and only about 30 yds from the Main Street with its shops and places to eatcollect supplies. Comfortable beds and sofas plentiful equipment to self cater and useful welcome packs with dishwasher tabs kitchen cloths etc and another with teacoffee biscuitsUHT milk for a cuppa on arrival. There were also some basic condiments in the kitchen and supplies of washing up liquid. Also liquid soap was provided in both bathrooms. Electric storage heaters and heated towel rails throughout provided great heating in the cold February temperatures apartment lovely and warm on arrival. There was a selection of booksmagazines and some childrens DVDs. Gated security to the apartments and covered car parking with clear instructions provided on how to access on arrival. The best accomodation weve stayed in at Bamburgh and would recommend without hesitation. Thank you for letting us experience that fabulous view from the living room! Will definitely be back to lovely Northrawe

Lovely property beautiful views of the castle. Property cold on arrival but after a few hours was cosy. One heater out of action, temporary one was in place. We love to cook but although kitchen looked good several items to prep and cook food not available , suitable chopping board cheese grater etc.eg. Double the amount of plates, bowls etc would be useful. Bamburgh a beautiful place to stay. Thank you
Andrew
Really beautiful property with great location and fabulous views. Only stayed 3 nights but it had everything I wanted for my trip.
Nice property unfortunately view was spoiled due to a whole panel of the window being broken, before we arrived, and had to be boarded up. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay. We found the property clean but attention to detail on the cleaning could be improved.

The apartment was in need of a deep clean. Dirty fingermarks round light switches and dust on various services. Light bulbs not functioning in shower over cooker hob and patio. Little storage in bedrooms. Second bedroom small.
Our 3rd visit with 4th already booked for 2024. Big leap in price for 2024. Perfect location and great for 2 couples, with our own bathrooms. Outside is a disgrace with old, broken terrace furniture which needs to be taken to the dump.
Absolutely beautiful property in an amazing location. I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Bamburgh. Kitchen was well equipped, furniture comfortable and everything spotlessly clean.
Excellent location and lovely views and comfort of the rooms and parking etc. wonderful. Utensils could do with an update e.g. no cork screw to open wine we bought and no shops to get one.jugs to make breakfast.did ask the guys to bring corkscrew but never arrived.
Our first encounter was difficulty getting the security gate to open, we contacted your selves and a member of staff had to come and let us in. The heating is not adequate in the winter months, it was quite cold during our stay There was nowhere to hang wet gear or sandy footwear. The seat on one of the dining chairs was taped up with black tape, there was a piece of wood on the floor which had come off the window and was lying on the floor underneath the radiator

Northrawe is a fantastic property, the proximity to Bamburgh village, the Castle and the beach could not be better. The view of the Castle and cricket pitch out of the sitting room window has to be one of the best in Bamburgh. The property was lovely and warm and consisted of two bedrooms with ensuite facilities a well equipped kitchen and small sitting room. Only a couple of comments, possible shoe rackhooks to hang up outdoor coats, shame the property did not have a log burner.
Fabulous apartment with one of the best views I have ever had in a property. Fantastic location near beach and village with great facilities. Good pubs a two minute walk away. Gated apartment with good parking undercover. Cosy beds with gorgeous bedding and fluffy towels. Beaches were truly amazing.
It was an excellent holiday for the views of the castle, fantastic location for the shops, plenty of choices for eating and drinking and fantastic takeaways. The short walk to the sands and sea was another great selling point but also the cleanliness of the property and ease of parking. Everything provided in the property we could not fault.
I have stayed in many properties in Bamburgh over the years but this is the best for views. They are absolutely outstanding!!
Northrawe is a very modern and comfortable flat with a magnificent view of the castle, and within walking distance of some fine restaurants. An ideal base from which to explore the beauty of Northumbria.
