Bamburgh Beach House Reviews

The location of the property is absolutely fabulous, right across from the beach with views of the castle. However I think the property is not in a good enough condition to be charging over £2000 per week. Parts of the property are in a desperate need of an update/refresh. Details of these have been reported to the owners/agent.

Great find. Excellent location. Easy walk to the beach and the pubs. Parking for two cars. Great for a family and dog friendly. Very well equipped kitchen. Like home from home. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our time at the beach house and didn't want to leave. The location was amazing, and the vibe of the house was really special. We would love to come back.

Lovely cottage in a great location, already booked again for next year. There are small things that could be improved upon but for us it was ideal.

A lovely and deceptively spacious cottage. Easy walking distance to Bamburgh with good pubs and play park for the children. The cottage is well stocked with most things you would need in the kitchen and a small supply of basics, wash liquid, dishwasher tabs, coffee pods and tea towels.The garden is up a few steps and is nicely enclosed so good for the children and dog. A large patio area with huge table and chairs was a lovely sun trap. Great bathroom's with lots of hot water only thing we missed was a tooth brush charger point so take an adaptor.The cottage was a good choice for our group of 6 adults a 4 year old and 18 month toddler.

Well equipped spacious cottage. Very clean, Comfy beds. Grandsons enjoyed the Garden play house and slide etc.. Loved the location. With access to the beach Easy walking distance to Bamburgh with longer walk to Seahouses

The cottage is lovely, 3 bathrooms really helped with 8 adults. Equipment is all there and we enjoyed the space and comfort. Location was great, across from the dunes and onto the beautiful beach. Parking was right as not 2 spaces, but we used the lay by across the road. Great week away.

The property is not in a good enough condition to charge in excess of £2000 for a week. It is a wooden shack. The carpets are covered in stains, the toilets take multiple attempts to flush. The sofa is not adequate for older guests who need support for their neck. The kitchen radiator cannot be put on as the valve has been removed. The back step in the property is a death trap. My Father fell up the huge step into the house, it was a nasty fall and he has not long had two surgeries so was very worrying. There needs to be another step to get up into the back door, the drop is too far. Overall cleanliness is poor - there was faeces in one toilet and blood spots on the rim of another. It needs refurbishing to justify the cost. The location however is good for the beach (7-10 mins over the dunes) and Bamburgh (5 mins in car).

The location of the Cottage was excellent, however we did find a few issues with the Cottage and these have been reported to the owners and agent. It needs a little updating to bring it back to what was expected.

An excellent warm and comfortable stay ..

The property is very roomy and well equipped Location was very good, 15 min walk to Bamburgh and 5 mins through the dunes to the beach. The children enjoyed the outdoor space of the garden.

This cottage has a good layout, bedrooms and living space. It is also a short walk to the beach and village. There were a few minor things which I have passed onto the owner.

Lovely house. No shortages of hot water and the heating was excellent. Short walk to the beach, high street and castle. We were 6 adults, a baby and a small dog, we all left happy.

Beautiful accommodation, modern but homely. Clean and tidy with bags of space! Parking for 2 cars and all the home comforts you would need. Brilliant location for the beach and wonderful views of the castle.

Excellent location, four good bedrooms and ample communal space.

We have used Coastal Retreats on several occasions and have always been delighted with the standard of the accommodation.

The cottage is in a great location, easily walkable to Bamburgh village, castle, and the fabulous beach. Very comfortable, surprisingly spacious, and we loved the â??beach hutâ?? vibe.

Beautiful peaceful location. Lovely holiday home with everything you could need. Plenty of space. Would recommend to anyone who loves to stay by the sea, beautiful beach. Recommend some new pans as no longer non-stick.

My first visit to Northumberland with my daughterâ??s family and we loved the cottage and Bamburgh - the castle was amazing . The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the dog loved his walks on the spectacular beach. Thank you.
