The cottage did not feel very homely seating not very comfortable beds slightly soft. Kitchen ok tap on sink loose water pressure very high, large frying pan very flimsy, no bin for recycling. Some of the doors in the cottage would not close properly. The outside areas very plain just grass not a plant, pot or flower to be seen not a place you would choose to seat in. No welcome pack or message or list of useful contacts doctor, hospital, shops, pub or restaurants. The tv was very small difficult to view as away from the seating. Oven had to be preset with clock to start why not left on? The basin in the bathroom had no towel rail and again the water pressure was very high.

Wonderful position looking down to Bambrough Castle. Very clean and stocked with all the essentials. Great for visiting Seahouses, Craster, and Holy Island.

Delightful cottage and location. Thank you.
We enjoyed our stay and already suggested it to people to stay in. The weather was very kind that helped us use the garden bench outside to enjoy a nice bottle of wine ot two. It's so quiet to say it's on the road. Very private but if your going later in the year, take a torch to walk back to the cottage. Easily accesable to many places by car, although we walked to Seahouses and got the bus back. In Bambaragh its about a 30 minute walk to Bambaragh from the cottage there is a cafe there next to the RNLI museum Walled garden its lovely for coffees ice cream and small meals.

This is a lovely cottage with great views of Bamburgh Castle. It is in a great location and it is very easy to travel up and down the coast without having to drive too far. Although this is the middle cottage of three, there was no noise whatsoever from the adjacent properties. I would definitely book this cottage again if visiting the area again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had an excellent stay at Dryden Cottage The quality of the fittings is excellent and everything is well maintained. Parking is good and the walk into Bamburgh was easier than we thought Qe had a Co cert about walking along a arrow road with o pavements but it was not a problem . We would certainly wish to stay there again

Too dark even on a sunny day! I found the living room quite claustrophobic. Please remove the entrance porch so the light can come flooding in. The dark sofas added to the problem. The mattress in the king size bed had two giant dips in it which was very off putting. Besides that, the property had everything required for our stay and was warm and clean enough. The highlight was the peacefulness of the area, the dark skies and the view to the castle when sitting in the window. More lighting in the living room and soft furnishings would make it more cosy.

This cottage or terraced bungalow as I think describes it better was otherwise as described. Our only criticisms are that there is nowhere pleasant to sit outside other than on a bench next to all the dustbins! There is not a real flower or plant to be seen anywhere The out door areas are barren and completely uninviting. Just one note for the owner the shower on and off control is very stiff and at times almost impossible to operate. Other than these points the bungalow is very comfortable and fit for purpose and we enjoyed our holiday!

This is my first holiday with my wife because of my severe restricted diet although my wife has had holidays with my daughter. We found the accommodation well supplied with all the equipment necessary for preparing my meals and all other comforts for a relaxing holiday in every way. The only problem which we had was the high step into the cottage because we are both disabled and would have preferred a Grab Bar to assist entry but even so didn't really cause much of a problem. would definitely come again. Toaster did not work. Likely to be just a blown fuse but should have been tested before we moved in. One of the outdoor wooden chairs was rotten and broke when sat on. That could be dangerous. There was a small wooden stool by the dressing table in a bedroom. It was picked up and just fell apart that could be dangerous. No bin bags in property so we had to buy our own. Other than the four issues above, the property was of a very high standard and in an excellent location.
It was our first visit to Northumberland and definitely wont be our last. Dryden cottage was perfect for our half term family break. The cottage was in a great location with great views of Bamburgh castle, and facilities in the cottage were spot on. No complaints, it was great value for money well definitely be returning.
This is a wonderful cottage with everything you need to make it home from home. It is so clean and comfortable, with a great layout. Good parking and a great front and rear gardens. It has an excellent information pack with everything you need to know about facilities, amenities and everywhere you can visit in Northumberland. We highly recommend this property and would love to return sometime in the future.
Well equipped cottage , good parking had a wonderful week on the outskirts of bamburgh only slightly disadvantage as the walk into bamburgh was on the side of a country road which vehicles often travelled quite fast on . Would definitely stay again

We stayed for a week in this beautiful cottage. Very peaceful and an excellent base for exploring Northumberland. The cottage is very well equipped and maintained with the most powerful shower weve EVER experienced! Gave a 4 for comfort because of the sofas, my husband is 6ft 4 and they werent quite deep enough picky I know. Would 100 recommend and would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Dryden cottage. Our main problem was the shower tap that I couldnt t turn on. Had to ask Hubbie to turn the shower on for me each time. We reported this to Sykes cottages and a man came the same day to look at it. He said that the on off valve is very tight and could do with a new one We also found we couldnt t get hot water.eventually found a switch on the wall. Information about this would have been helpful But overall we enjoyed our stay thankyou.
Kathryn
One of the switches had tripped in the electric cupboard. We found out 4 hours into our stay and realised the fridge hadn't been working since our arrival. We phoned for help but while waiting managed to work out the solution for ourselves. Not a complaint as such but just a word of caution to ensure these things are checked as it was a stressful start to a much needed break.
The electric triped think it was the dishwasher at fault but turned off fridge ... The electric triped think it was the dishwasher at fault but turned off fridge freezer and kettle too could not get in contact as was given wrong number Not 247 cover we couldn't reach fuse box and had to get next door to do for us also had to borrow there tin opener as ours was useless The beds were very comfortable and cottage nearly spotless just a few issues microwave not cleaned skirting not dusted the seating outside is next to the wheelybins and smell could do with moving otherwise everything ok
Christine
We have stayed at Dryden cottage on several occasions and always found it to be very clean and well presented. The bed is very comfortable and all amenities on hand to make for a very pleasant and relaxing stay. An excellent location with fantastic views out to Bamburgh Castle. The cottage is peaceful but well placed to explore the fantastic Northumbrian coastline and surrounding countryside. And Bamburgh village is just a short walk away. We have another 2 bookings for the remainder of the year and always look forward to returning to this special place. Gary and Chris June 2023.

Troublefree stay in a pleasant and comfortable cottage. Many pleasant walks nearby plus a dramatic view of Bamburgh Castle from the garden.

Excellent Cottage. Very well equipped and furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Lovely location.
A fantastic property, location, and perfect for the capture of the Aurora. Dryden Cottage was spotlessly clean, warm, and had everything we required. My only niggle, and a small niggle at that. Is it wouldve been nice after a long journey, to have had Tea, Coffee, Milk, and Sugar on arrival for a brew. We would 150 stay again. But please please bigger TV. Thankyou for a lovely stay, and Northumberland experience.
Hayley
we had no wifi our whole stay, we appreciate all efforts that were made by the owner but it resulted in my husband losing a weeks work as sitting in the owners other property that was next door didn't work for us as meant as a family we were seperated from 4pm every day. The dishwasher isn't attached to the wall properly and falls forward when opened. The kitchen light was very temperamental and didn't turn on every time.
Beautiful location. The cottage was immaculate and very clean. Really comfy beds too. Couldn&39t fault it and would go back again.
