Hi a wonderful stay over Christmas! Charlton Cottage is very cosy and fabulously located in the centre of Bamburgh. The Cottage was extremely comfortable and wellequipped. My only slight negatives are that a couple of the radiators did not work properly one couldn't be turned on this was solved by additional heaters being supplied in the room and one couldn't be turned off which made the second bedroom very hot. The coffee machine is a Nespresso Vertuo the capsules are not readily available anywhere but via Nespresso which meant we couldn't use it. I do feel a few capsules should have been supplied as part of the rental.

Beautiful cottage, large rooms and amazing wet room. Secured patio for parking and dogs. Front door leads out to a view of Bamburgh castle. Three pubs with restaurants on the same road and a seafood restaurant also. Very close to beautiful Bamburgh beach with castle & lighthouse views and a large expanse of sand. Perfect location.

Most important! The cute wooden highchair tipped forward and fell to the floor with our 14month old granddaughter in it, therefore only used it when secured by an adult thankfully no damage done. Shower room rather tired looking compared to overall decor of the cottage. Lovely comfy beds and super duper fridge freezer. As a laundry addict a bit disappointed I couldnt hang washing on a line outside

Another wonderful Christmas in Bamburgh! Ideal position in the middle of the village with much appreciated offroad parking for access to the magnificent Castle, fabulous beach & welcoming pubseateries. The weather was very kind to us & we enjoyed walks out with our dog every day.

Lovely property, very comfortable, spacious and warm. Good position within the village close to pubs and restaurants. Bit of an issue with the electric gate sticking shut but this was dealt with promptly probably just needs a full service. Would definitely recommend the cottage.

Charlton Cottage is very comfortable, well equipped, well maintained and perfectly located for a wonderful Northumberland experience. We visited a lot of the areas attractions and walked miles along the lovely beaches taking in the excellent scenery. We have stayed there before and I am sure that we will stay there again. A fantastic experience.

Another fabulous stay at Charlton Cottage, a real home from home but with the splendor of a magnificent castle & outstanding beach on the doorstep. The cottage was spotless on arrival & with some new paintwork & furniture since our last visit. The chrome in the bathrooms had been buffed to gleaming we needed sunglasses on

We've been to Charlton Cottage a few times now & it never disappoints! The cottage is very comfortable, well appointed and in a prime position in the middle of Bamburgh. We had a lovely break and will definitely be back!

Charlton Cottage is in an ideal location in Bamburgh. Just minutes away from the beach and the beautiful Bamburgh Castle. The cottage was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The photos dont do it justice. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is large and very well equipped, everything you need for self catering. We had a problem e we it the hot water but this was dealt with very quickly within 30 minutes by Northumbria Cottage. We would highly recommend and hopefully will stay there again

This is the second time we have stayed a Charlton, and we will definitely be going back , clean, comfortable, and home from home for the facilities inside. Big boost... carparking inside secure back yard, good for the dogs too.

We were very happy and pleasantly surprised to find a property to meet our specification of six adults, one toddler and two dogs. We had some wariness that we would be falling over each other in a cottage but on arrival such wariness was dispelled. The cottage is a Tardis and we had plenty of room. The layout of the property is excellent and has clearly been well thought through. The attention to detail regarding provision of kitchen equipment and fixtures and fittings is exceptional. The availability of three car parking spaces in the gated yard was a welcome bonus. Very minor improvement feedback would relate to the intermittent WiFi and the provision of a further front or back door key would have been helpful.

Gorgeous property in an excellent location. Good quality kitchens and bathrooms, lovely fireplace, comfortable living room and well appointed throughout. An excellent week and would definitely stay here again.

We love Northumberland and in particular, Bamburgh. This is a beautifully appointed, cosy cottage in the centre of Bamburgh. The secure parking at the rear is a real bonus. We have already booked Charlton Cottage for next year!

We love Charlton Cottage. A few minor niggles this year were Oven door difficult to close Kettle is a bit hit and miss and won't always stay switched on. Door to bedroom off the lounge sticks slightly The above did not affect our stay and we would stay here every year if we could! Loved it, thank you

Weve stayed in many cottages in Bamburgh over the years but this was our second time staying at Charlton cottage. The cottage is lovely and really well equipped. It is in a great location being right on the main street and with the added benefit of a secure garden and off street parking. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning again.

A little worn in places. Child suzed dirty hand print on the wall by the front door. Heating was a bit too warm for us. Key fob for gate worn and very difficult to use. Also no instructions for closing gate manually needed on leaving Disturbed early one morning by a gas delivery with no notice. BUT amazing cottage. Beautifully decorated and furnished. So comfy and homely. One of the best we have stayed in. Gorgeous kitchen. Brilliant location. Great safe parking.

We enjoyed our stay at Charlton cottage the position was great. And we had fun. The layout of the cottage is good. The shower room floor needed attention and maybe a coat of paint here and there. The kitchen was well equipped but a little dark but I think we will return its a a great location in a stunning area

The owner had provided a bottle of wine upon arrival, a nice touch, but as we cooked at the cottage several nights, it would have been nice to at least have had the salt and pepper pots filled! It is tedious to have to take EVERYTHING to a rental. We left a note for the owner regarding a dangerous kettle lid fell off when pouring and a rocky, wobbly wet room floor. The cottage was otherwise well stocked, clean and had comfy beds.

A truly well positioned and comfortable cottage in the heart of Bamburgh. Bed very soft but thats my opinion, cottage well equipped felt very at home from day one.

Lovely well equipped cottage. The dishwasher wasnt mentioned in the particulars so that was a bonus.

Charlton Cottage is a lovely, comfortable and homely cottage. It's in a brilliant position, in the centre of Bamburgh village. I think the courtyard is in need of a little TLC though. One of the outdoor chairs was broken, it needed weeding and the 2 plant pots were as dry as a bone. My husband soaked them and one of them came back to life!

This is our third visit to Charlton Cottage which clearly indicates how much we enjoy staying here. Position of the cottage within Bamburgh is excellent, as are the facilities. The new coffee making machine was great, especially for espresso martinis. A wonderful, comfortable, homely cottage. We very much look forward to staying again.

A beautiful very well equipped cottage the private parking was very good. Position of cottage 2 minutes walk from castle and 10 from the fabulous beach, we found the cottage very homely and warm. We are in the village twice and the Apple Inn in luckier twice all meals were amazing. The weather was very kind to us and we managed to walk our dog on the beach every day x

Super cosy & well appointed cottage in which to enjoy our Christmas break thank you! Amazing location in the centre of Bamburgh easy walking to good choice of pubs, scenic beach & stunning Castle. The Christmas tree & selection of goodies was very festive!

Lovely property in a prime location to explore all the great places that Northumberland has to offer. I would highly recommend Charlton Cottage to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

Great little property ideally located for the village and the beach. Had everything we needed for our stay.

Nice property, clean and comfortable in an excellent location either for in and around Bamburgh or as a base for wider exploration of North Northumberland. Great for parking for at least two cars especially during busy times in Bamburgh. Within easy walking distance of good pubs, great butchers and fantastic beach and wonderful Bamburgh Castle.

Charlton Cottage is a beautifully and thoughtfully decorated cottage. It offers comfort and luxury in the heart of the beautiful village of Banburgh, perfectly situated between an excellent pub dog friendly and café. This comfortable cottage offers a cosy retreat, with an open fire for cold winter evenings. This is a great base to explore the Northumbria coast, including Banburgh Castle walking distance Farne Islands, Holy Island and Alnwick Castle.

Very spacious with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large kitchen and lounge. In an excellent location with secure parking. A really excellent holiday.

Loved this cottage perfect location within the village. Wetroom was great a really good shower. Enclosed courtyard perfect for our dogs, we felt really safe letting them out. Will definitely be back.
