Beautiful, spacious house in the Peak District. We chose this house because of its close proximity to Manchester, where our son lives, and the fact that it was dog friendly and close to lots of great walks. The house exceeded our expectations and the photos do not do it justice. The spacious kitchen dinner was perfect for entertaining and the master bedroom with the stunning walk in wardrobe was a lovely surprise. I would highly recommend this house and we would love to return at some point. Glossop town is walkable and has plenty of shops that you need for all of your provisions and the local area really is lovely. Moor View definitely lives up to its name.
Fantastic property to spend our new year with friends lovely walks around the ... Fantastic property to spend our new year with friends lovely walks around the area and plenty of choice of pubs to drink and eat in Glossop
Beautiful well spacious property. Would of scored more but saddly one of the showers was out of order. And had trouble with the Internet running lights etc etc. The host was very good in informing us etc etc. These things happen. But all in all was a beautiful stay at the property.
The house is amazing and based in the beautiful Peak District . We instantly felt at home in the house and the owners could not be more friendly or helpful whilst allowing us our freedom. I would definitely recommend this house and will hope to return in the not too distant future.

Initial difficulty in locating property for future visitors it is in the corner of the culdesac set back off the road on the right hand side before you turn left to the dead end. On walking in there was no doubt that the property has a total wow factor but we quickly realised that we had no internetWiFi connection necessitating numerous calls and texts between the owners and ourselves asking us to go up and down stairs to the front bedroom to try and sort as three pensioners who can do stairs but prefer not to do five or six times within the hour this was not ideal. TV did not come on because there was no batteries in the remote but in fairness owners did rapidly come around to resolve and bring batteries with them We were also disappointed that there was not at least not a pint of milk in the fantastic modern fridge so we could make a brew whilst awaiting our shopping delivery tea bags, coffee etc. we had packed but every property I have ever booked via Sykes has a welcome pack of sorts and at the very least a 85p pint of milk! And totally agree with other reviews that there are no instructions around how to use any of the appliances but suppose it saves on having to clean them if no one knows how to use them! Would also advice future guests that there ere no mirrors in any bedroom other than the Master dressing room so didn't know if my skirt was toked into my nickers until I reached the bottom of the stairs. Lovely property, nice view but will not be returning.
Beautiful property that is very comfortable and well equipped. Small issue with wifi on arrival that was quickly sorted out by contacting the owner who was very helpful. We were only a party of two with a small dog which meant we didnt use all of the facilities available, but really enjoyed our stay. Fully enclosed garden which meant no worries about the dog escaping. Very quiet at night too. Little disappointed that no extras were provided. We regularly stay in holiday cottages so I always take a supply of bin bags, washing pods, tea bags, condiments etc just in case. A very impressive coffee machine was provided but no instructions how to use it, so we didnt bother trying. We quickly worked out the microwaveoven but this also had no instructions for use. A short walk to the high street me and walking distance to Teggs Nose, Snake Pass etc husband. A fantastic property that we didnt fully utilise but we would definitely stay again.
Me and my 6 friends had the most wonderful time at moor view. It was everything it said it was and more. So close to the lovely town with some gorgeous pubs. So clean and the main bedroom wow!!!! We have all said we cant wait to return. Thank you for a gorgeous stay in your lovely home.
Me and my group of friends stayed here for a long weekend and it's was perfect, it gave us everything we wanted as it was a nice open plan and the house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The area around the house is stunning too.

Great house very spacious and comfortable we had a couple of small issues which the owners dealt with promptly. Glossop is a great town with lots of quirky restaurants, pubs and shops, local supermarkets were handy too, we visited Buxton & Bakewell both were lovely, we'd recommend anyone to book and would love to return
Beautiful house very enjoyable stay

Great stay at Moor View. Property is very spacious and has everything you need. We were a multigenerational family group and ate in every evening and were able to cook everything we needed. Coffee machine was greatly appreciated by the middle generation, TVs by the youngest generation. We had teatime visitors one evening and spent a lovely early evening using the garden room to entertain.
WOW ! Amazing property. Photos don't do it justice. Clean and spacious and everything you will need for a fab holiday. Lots to see and do round about. Easy access to Manchester and even took a trip to Chester Zoo. We always look for a wow factor when choosing a property and this one had it in abundance. Best one we have ever stayed in by far. Will most certainly be returning.

We had a fantastic stay at Moor View for a special family gettogether, where we hosted a Glastonburythemed party and it couldnt have been more perfect! The house was absolutely spotless, beautifully maintained, and even better than the photos suggest. There was plenty of space for everyone, and the setting was both peaceful and welcoming. Although we had a couple of small issues during our stay, Sally and Dave the lovely owners sorted everything out straight away and were incredibly helpful and responsive. It was a memorable weekend for our family, and Moor View really made it extra special. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend it and are already thinking about booking again in the future!
Lovely house very close to walks, pubs and shops in the peak. Would thoroughly recommend
Absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful house, would definitely recommend it to any prospective customers for the future.

This property was fantastic. I've stayed in several holiday homes but this one was one of the best. There is everything you need and it's all top quality. Comfortable beds beautiful linen and spotlessly clean. My only tiny criticism is the bath towels are a little small...or am l too big?
Valerie
This is a beautiful house set in a quite cul de sac not far from the town centre amenities. It has been extended and decorated to a very high standard and we had a really comfortable relaxing stay. The kitchen has more than enough crockery, glasses, cutlery and cooking equipment to make any kind of meal, although I was surprised there was no microwave wasnt a problem though The sitting room is comfy and the large tv made it feel like a cinema room. We did have an issue with the tv when we first arrived but the owners sorted this out straightaway and it worked fine afterwards. The beds are comfortable with nice clean fresh bedding, the master being a lovely big room with a large en suite bathroom and the main bathroom with the sunken bath certainly had the wow factor. We visited a few places during our stay, would recommend a visit to Marple, a lovely village with nice walks around it. Would definitely recommend staying here, you wont be disappointed and would love a return visit.

We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful house. It is well equipped with everything you need throughout your stay. The only negatives is that there are no instructions for the coffee maker and ovens, you have to light the Hob with matches. Also unfortunately the previous occupants had left one of the oven trays dirty. I would recommend this property to friends
This place is amazing, and more of a holiday home than a holiday cottage. We were a family of 5 three teenage kids and Moor View provided a beautiful place for us all to relax and reset. The house was very clean, warm and cosy with all the facilities to make it so much more than home from home. The 80 inch TV was amazing for watching films and the odd game of football. We didn't make use of the beautiful garden room, as the weather just wasn't great, but this would be fabulous on a summer evening. Walking distant to Steakland, where we had a delicious meal, and also the station where we hopped on a train to Manchester for the day. All in all a lovely break in a beautiful house. Thank you
Brilliant stay cracking house massive even for 8 of us and 2 dogs loved every minute. 10 Minute walk into Town. Locals very friendly. Lots to do in area. Went running each morning, loads of Public footpaths easy to follow. Will recommend use visit to friends and family. Thanks from us all for a lovely LWE. Just what we needed.
We had a lovely family get together at Moor View. The downstairs open plan space and the master bedroom suite were huge, much bigger than they appear in the photos. We were able to use the dressing room as a bedroom for the baby. There were dog walks from the house front door up the hill opposite. Also worth recommending is the park on the river in town great for dogs and children and just a short drive away. Communication was excellent with the owners. On a practical note, an extra large front doormat and decent coat pegsstand for storing and drying coats would be a big help! Although we worked it out for ourselves in the end, instructionshints about using the large TV remotes, coffee maker, heating and how to find the microwave would be good too!

There are only good things to say about this property. We stayed at the weekend for my partners 40th with our family and it was perfect. It had everything we needed. It was spotless and extremely clean and looked beautiful, even better in person. The beds and sofas were so comfy and there was plenty of room. My 1 year old loved the space to run around and was kept entertained with the huge tele in the lounge watching all her Disney favourites. The area was lovely and very quiet and was close to local shops and pubs which was really handy. We were able to have a lovely walk even though it was so cold. We've said we would definitely come back but maybe in summer when the weather is better so we can make more use of the summer house, bbq and the lovely garden. I would 100 recommend this property. Sally and David were very helpful too and were a text or phone call away if needed. Thanks for a great stay
We have just enjoyed a lovely few days at this property. The house is huge, and very well maintained. It is very well equipped and all furnishings are of a high standard. It is in walking distance of the town with plenty of pubs and shops. The summer house is a great addition and we would love to return in warmer months to be able to enjoy that! The super king room is more like a suite with a walk in dressing room and the sunken bath was amazing! The owners are very responsive, we couldnt manage to get 2 of the upstairs rooms heated and they popped over to check things for us. The only feedback I would like to give is to perhaps leave more loo roll and some surface cleaner and bin bags. We popped into town and picked these up but it would be useful for these items to be provided for future guests.

The house is HUGE. We stayed as a couple with our dog, Ziggy, and were very impressed with the property. All fittings, furnishings, etc are of a very high quality. The cleanliness was excellent. It would be lovely to return when the weather is a little more pleasant. The best rental house we have ever stayed in.
Beautiful property. Sparkling clean and very spacious and comfortable. Owners were available and helpful. Would highly recommend .

We had an amazing few days! The house was stunning, immaculately clean and close to walking routes. A perfect family getaway for an early Christmas celebration. I would definitely come back! Thank you
Kathryn
This property is outstanding! From the second you walk in through the front door you are amazed at how beautiful it is. Large open plan downstairs with comfortable sitting area and dining area. Upstairs the bedrooms are spacious and the walk in wardrobe was perfect with ample hanging space and hangers nowhere ever has enough hangers. The beds were super comfortable and the little touches of shower gel etc in the en suite was an added bonus. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, I was amazed to find cocktail glasses as I was expecting to make my cocktails in some random glasses but literally everything is thought of. Glossop high street is only a short walk with plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend this property.
Beautiful house, well stocked kitchen. Absolutely spotless. Bedrooms amazing and comfortable. Very quiet. Great communication from hosts too. Went for a celebration birthday. Was a very relaxing stay, thank you
Lindsay
The property was just what we wanted to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends. Clean and comfortable. Perfect set up for a dinner party, with very well equipped kitchen and open plan space downstairs. Even bigger than it appears in the pictures. Walking distance into centre for shopspubsrestaurants. Check in and out with key box was simple, and contact with owner was prompt and professional.
This is a very comfortable and spacious house with a very large, fully open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room downstairs. The house is extremely well equipped, with a very highspec kitchen, enormous tv, and loads of storage. The new and very substantial summer house in the garden was very useful for us as a place to play our musical instruments without bothering those in the open plan area, or, hopefully, the neighbours. The house is in a cul de sac in a modern housing estate, so if you're looking for rural or characterful, this isn't it but the area is quiet and makes a handy base for trips into the Peak District. You can walk up a large moorland hill straight from the front door. The weather was getting colder but the house was warm, with lovely underfloor heating, and there's a very enjoyable large bath as well as excellent showers. The owner was helpful and friendly. Altogether, we had a very comfortable and pleasant week.
Went with a group of 8 and the house was beautiful, the photos do not do enough justice. amazing house, very clean and peaceful.
Moor View was the perfect base for our trip to the Peak District. The house was lovely and exceeded our expectations. Would come back again.
Maggie
Beautiful house that exceeded expectation! Well equipped and clean. David owner was extremely helpful in answering our probably very silly questions! Great base for a holiday.
Philip
The house is one of the best we have ever stayed in during over 20 years of cottage holidaying. Spacious, spotlessly clean. A great place for us and our 2 dogs. If we have one very small criticism it would be for all bedrooms to have mirrors, unless we missed them. The welcome package was lovely and much appreciated. We would definitely book it again if staying in the area.
Samantha
Wow!! What a beautifully impressive property . Deceptively bigger than any of the photos or outside of the house looks. Inside it's gloriously spacious, well presented, comfortable the perfect setting for our extended family to come together. Compared with other places our family has stayed Moor View was immaculately clean and well stocked. Great communication from David & Sally too.
Debbie
We had a beautiful three day, stay here with our two grandchildren and Dog . David was very attentive and was quick to respond with any queries that we had. A beautiful house with an amazing master suite.
